Net enrolment ratio
Definition
Net enrolment ratio is enrolment of the official age group as a share of that age group.
Against gross
Net enrolment cannot exceed 100%, which makes it the more honest headline. It still counts children who start rather than children who finish — see [[Secondary completion rate]].
