Generation Alpha
Definition
Generation Alpha is the cohort born between 2010 and 2024, named by demographer Mark McCrindle.
Boundaries
McCrindle sets Generation Alpha at 2010–2024. Pew Research does not use the term consistently and places the post-Z boundary at 2013.
We follow McCrindle for Generation Alpha and Beta, because it is the only widely-cited framework that also defines Generation Beta.
