Crawl budget
Definition
Crawl budget is the number of pages a search engine will fetch from a site in a given period.
When to care
Below roughly 2,000 URLs, almost never. Above it, crawl depth and internal linking start deciding what gets indexed at all.
The practical fix is never more pages — it is fewer clicks from the homepage to the deepest page.
