Generation Beta: the cohort nobody has data on yet
Everything currently known about the 2025–2039 cohort — the first generation born after generative AI became ordinary.
Generation Beta covers births from 2025 to 2039 and is projected to reach about 2.1 billion people. It is the first cohort born after generative AI became publicly available, meaning AI is infrastructure to them rather than an innovation.
Generation Beta started on 1 January 2025. Almost nothing has been published about it, because the oldest members are toddlers.
That is exactly why it matters. Every decision being made now about AI in early years settings, about what a voice assistant is allowed to say to a child, about how much of a childhood is machine-readable, is being made without evidence. This hub tracks what is known, what is being decided by default, and what is worth watching.
