Frequently asked
How does Discord check age in the UK?
Discord does not estimate age automatically in the UK. To reach 18+ content or change some safety settings, users confirm their age with an app store age range, credit card, Google Wallet, a video selfie processed on the device, an ID scan or AgeKey. Until then, teen protections apply.
What happens on X if you do not verify your age in the UK?
X treats under-18s, and users whose age it has not yet determined, as unable to view sensitive media such as pornography. Adults can confirm their age with a live selfie or government ID if X cannot estimate it from existing signals.
Do under-18s need to verify their age on Reddit in the UK?
Reddit asks for a birth date when someone in the UK tries to open mature or restricted content, and confirmation is by Apple account or a Persona selfie or ID check. Users it believes are under 13 must verify to keep using the account.
