llms.txt is a proposed plain-text file summarising a site for language models.
The honest assessment
Adoption by model providers is not measurable. In one 90-day measurement, 84 of 62,100 AI-bot requests — about 0.1% — went to llms.txt, and no major provider has committed to reading it in production.
This site publishes several because they cost nothing to maintain. They are not a strategy.
