Generational boundary
Definition
Generational boundary is the birth years used to separate one named generation from the next.
They are conventions
Boundaries are research conventions, not facts. Pew ends Gen Z in 2012; McCrindle ends it in 2009.
Neither is right. What matters is stating which you used, which is why this site says where its boundaries come from: Pew up to 1997, McCrindle from 2009.
