Yeet is Gen Alpha slang for to throw hard — or an excited shout.
Where it came from
Dictionary.com traces the shout to a 2014 dance that went viral on Vine, coming out of Black social media; a 2016 video of someone throwing a can made it a verb for throwing. The American Dialect Society named it slang word of the year for 2018.
