Where it came from

Wiktionary records it as internet slang for "where you from". Urban Dictionary also lists other readings, two of them sexual. No source gives an origin.

Tone check

Usually an innocent question, but because of the sexual readings, and because it asks where someone lives, a "wyf" from a stranger to a child is worth noticing.
