Gen Alpha slang · Abbreviation
fax
Fax is Gen Alpha slang for "facts" — that's true, I agree.
Where it came from
A pun on "facts". A linguist quoted by Today.com said the Oxford English Dictionary records "fax" as a play on "facts" since at least 1837, and traced the longer "fax, no printer" to a 2014 Omarion and Chris Brown song, while noting the phrase is probably older.
Tone check
Harmless agreement.
